The Member of Parliament for the Adansi Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region, Kobina Tahir Hammond has given the strongest indication that the 2022 budget will be approved by Parliament on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

According to him, members of the Majority Caucus have been able to marshal all their MPs to approve the 2022 budget.

The 2022 budget was rejected by a one-sided Parliament last Friday, November 26, 2021, after the Majority side staged a walkout.

The two Caucuses have for the greater part of Tuesday engaged in crunch meetings to reinforce their arguments to either approve or reject the budget.

This has delayed the day’s proceedings by more than four hours.

Speaking to ABC News ahead of the day’s sittings, Mr Hammond assured that the decision reached last Friday on the budget will be overturned.

“The Game is still on. The action will be in play today. There won’t be any more projects in town. The only project in town today is the action on the floor of Parliament. This time you are not going to read my lips, you are going to see it with your naked eyes.”

“We have 138 human beings which we are going to deploy. Every arsenal at our disposal will be displayed today. We are going to pass the 2022 budget. The only action in town today is here in Parliament,” he said.
