A musician, known in showbiz as Ama Rasta, has allegedly invoked the curses of deities on the management of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) over their failure to disburse her royalties to her.
According to Ama Rasta, all her efforts to claim her royalties have proven futile hence her decision to invoke curses on the managers of the organization.
In the video, she is heard recounting how broke she is and how someone even paid for her transportation fare to the GHAMRO office.
Ama Rasta detailed that she always gets her money every year but this year she was told there is no money to give to her.
In the viral video, the artiste is seen holding a bottle of schnapps and a number of eggs while reciting some incantations, believed to be a call to deities to deal with the management of GHAMRO.
“Give me my money, it’s that simple. If they are not giving me my money, I’m cursing them live,” Ama Rasta is seen and heard saying in Twi in the said video.
But in response, GHAMRO has described the artiste’s behavior as appalling.
National Coordinator, Yaw Osbourne said the organisation has just started distributing the royalties and does not understand why anyone will take such disappointing actions.
