Thomas Partey, Ghana International and Athletico Madrid midfielder, has taken over Spanish third division club Alcobendas Sport, ABC News has gathered.
Thomas Partey, partnered three others to take over the club according to reports by sports online site, Ghanasoccernet.com, who all have equal stake in the third division club based in the Spanish capital, Madrid.
The deal, per information gathered, was completed in July with the takeover now almost finished as well.
“I have joined three of my advisers who are also my good friends for us to takeover Alcobendas Sport to make it one of the great clubs in Spain,” the 26-year-old football is reported to have said.
“It is an ambitious project but we have put together our plans of making it a success through a gradual process of growing Alcobendas Sport from the ground – up.”
The partners have brought in some of the finest brains in football management to run the club which was formed in 1995 and has since transformed and witnessed several names changes from – Soto de la Moraleja, to Soto Alcobendas Club de Fútbol in 2006, to Alcobendas Sport.
