ABC News Ghana is an investigative media house that focuses on politics, sports and the economy. Our work is thoroughly researched, balanced and fair. Our vision is to become the most preferred indigenous news brand for men in West Africa.

Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has indicated that special attention needs to be given to the management of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital because they are becoming unbecoming.

According to him, management of Ridge Hospital is always quick to react to issues pertaining to them and never admit to their mistakes.

This is in reaction to a statement released by the Ridge Hospital following an exposé by the undercover journalist on how people are cashing in on COVID-19.

Anas in his latest documentary revealed how two staff of Ridge Hospital sold Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for their personal profit.

The two men, Divine Kumordzi and Thomas Osei, were caught in the video selling PPEs meant for frontline workers but management of the hospital said the items sold by the men were not hospital stuff but their own private thing.

Social media users damn Anas’ recent work as “mediocre, distorting and malicious”

Reacting to the statement in an interview, Anas said “And who said I was expecting Ridge Hospital to come and speak in any direction. How many stories have we not done about Ridge Hospital, how many have they admitted? But the fact that they say they’ve suspended them alone should tell us what is happening. I think that this time around we have to keep special focus on the management of Ridge Hospital. I think that it’s becoming unbecoming. They’re very quick at putting out anything just to say that okay this didn’t happen.”

According to Anas, he didn’t bring out a wrong narrative as perceived by others because the documentary captured everything.

He noted, “It’s very clear when you watch the video. The film is there for everybody to see who is saying what. People will watch it and they will judge.”
