The Ghana Commodity Exchange, GCX has embarked on a massive awareness campaign about its products services in the northern part of the country.
The campaign which was primarily focused on communities in the north where the warehouses of the Ghana Commodity Exchange are located begun last week; Monday November 15, 2021.
As part of the activities, the first stop was Sandema in the Builsa North District. The team paid a courtesy call was paid to the Overlord of Builsa, Nab-Azagsuk Azantilow II, the MCE of Builsa North, Hon. Vida Anaab Akantangriwen and the MoFA Director of the area, Mr. Ibrahim Sumara Alidu.
The team had an interactive interview session on Radio Builsa to explain the operations of GCX and it’s products and services to the farming community.
A float was organised in the community and crowned with an engagement with farmers in the community at the GCX warehouse premises.
With the Ghana CARES (Covid-19 Alleviation and Revitalization of Entreprises Support) Obaatanpa Project, farmers can now get 50% of the value of their commodities once grade and quantity is confirmed by GCX staff on the field and 100% upfront upon arrival at a GCX Certified warehouse.
A similar event was also organized in Tumu at the Sissala East District.
