The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament will from today Monday, January 20, begin proceedings to consider the report of the Auditor-General on public accounts of Technical Universities.
Chairman of the Committee, James Klutse Avedzi, has indicated that most of the technical universities across the country are expected to appear before the committee, ABC News can confirm.
“We also expect to meet the rest of the districts and the Technical Universities in Ho, Accra, Cape Coast, Takoradi and Koforidua will be coming today.”
The Committee began its work on the Auditor General’s report for the year ended December 2016 last week, and has already engaged some government entities including Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) from the Greater Accra, Western and Volta Regions.
The Committee has however faced challenges with regards to some assemblies failing to honour its invitations.
