Ghana’s Information Minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah wants a thorough investigation to be conducted into the alleged incidents of sexual harassment of female students by lecturers of the University of Ghana.
This comes after some lecturers of the nation’s premier University were implicated in the “sex for grades” investigations carried out by BBC Africa Eye.
In the documentary, outspoken Political Science lecturer, Prof. Ransford Yaw Gyampo and Dr. Paul Butakor of the Department of Teacher Education of the School of Education and Leadership, University of Ghana, were accused of sexually harassing students.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM, the law maker said that an investigation into the matter will help establish the facts of the matter.
