Ghana’s COVID-19 cases have increased from 6,617 to 6,683 after 66 new infections were recorded on Saturday.
However, one more person has succumbed to death which brings the total death toll to 32. The person is a 66-year-old female, known hypertensive who died a day after admission with respiratory symptoms.
Moreover, 20 more people have recovered from the virus bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,998.
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) on its official website says 16 people are in severe but not critical conditions because they are not on ventilators.
Out of the 16 people in severe condition, five are admitted at the University of Ghana Medical Centre; three are at Ghana East, Korle Bu and Kumasi hospitals, and one at both the Ho and 37 Military Hospital.
