Nursing mothers in Ningo-Prampram are beaming with smiles following a donation of assorted items to them by Member of Parliament for the area, Samuel Nartey George.
The items running into thousands of Ghana cedis formed part of activities to celebrate his 37th birthday on Saturday, January 27, 2022.
Visiting the Prampram and the Old Ningo Health centres in the constituency, the MP donated beverages, toiletries, and some cash amount to the mothers who just delivered, pregnant women and nurses at the facilities as well.

Speaking to the media after the ceremony, Mr George said the needs and aspirations of constituents remain dear to his heart hence his motivation to donate the items to them on his day.
“My attention was drawn to the challenges facing some of these pregnant mothers and nursing mothers, so I decided to show them love on my day.”
Turning his attention to the health personnel in the constituency, the MP urged them to continue to give off their best and praised their efforts towards providing patients with the best of healthcare.
“Don’t relent on your efforts at providing patients with the best of healthcare. They visit hospitals and health facilities when they’re at their worst so don’t compound their situation by stressing them the more,” he said.
Excited health personnel in the area, lauded the gesture by the MP saying they have been incentivised to continue to give off their best.
