NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo has encouraged Ghanaian youth to engage in sports betting as an alternative source of income.

Sports betting has become a very contentious issue in Ghana recently, ad some renowned pastors have preached against, while self-acclaimed security specialist Ibrahim Irbard has also called for a ban, claiming it is gradually becoming a national security issue.

But Actor turn politician, John Dumelo, who is seeking to become a law maker, has put his weight behind sport betting, urging the youth to get in there and make some money.

Taking to his social media handle, he encouraged the youth to take their passion for football further by earning from it through sports betting.

The politician went further to give tutorials on how the youth can go about with their betting spree, as he promotes one particular sports betting platform called Bet Planet Ghana.

“Everyone is passionate about football but the question is how far can you go for your team? It starts with you trusting yourself, believing in your favorite team and then moving a little further by investing in your team. Wondering how to make some cool cash as you take a step further? Talk to @betplanetghana,” he wrote.

John Dumelo however asked those who are not sure of their team’s ability to win to play other virtual games.

“Not sure of your team? Then play some virtual games like Poker, Black jack, Roulette among others. Lets step into a new plate to make cash rain on us,” John Dumelo posted on social media.
