TV personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has criticised some media houses in the country for allegedly reporting military brutalities in the country during the lockdown.

According to the award-winning news anchor, a cursory look at the said video footage reveals it was doctored and couldn’t have been from the country’s Armed Forces.

Media houses including TV3 were taken to the cleaners by the Military hierarchy for using the video during their major news bulletins, which turned out to be fake.

A statement signed by the Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Aggrey Quarshie described the news item as false and demanded a retraction and apology, from the station.

In response to this, Nana Aba Anamoah, a former staff of TV3, is questioning why some media houses are championing the fake news agenda.

“Some media houses are irresponsibly part of the fake news agenda. No common sense to verify!” she tweeted.

Another tweet of hers read, “Stop spreading fake news about the Ghana Armed Forces” a fan then replied saying “Hmm! It’s unfortunate. Can the media help us to stop this?”

But the question on the lips of many is, could Nana Aba be throwing a subtle jab at TV3 due to her unpleasant history with them?
