Hiplife artist Berlinda Nana Ekua Amoah, widely known in showbiz as Mzbel has disclosed her association with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) affected her career in the Entertainment Industry.
Narrating how her public declaration of support for the NDC has affected her, the “16 Years” hit-maker revealed that patrons and followers of her craft have drastically diminished.
She further added that people she currently associate with for business purposes do not want to make their partnership public for fear of victimization.
However, she noted that her failures in the music career due to her association with the NDC has not in anyway wane her support for the party.

Mzbel added that John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the NDC is like a father to her hence she will continue to support him and the NDC despite the devastating effect her connections with the party had on her success in the entertainment industry.
“It hurt my career a lot. Up to now, just because I came out to support my party, I came out to say oh I’m NDC. Yah yah it did,” Mzbel admitted.
On the issue of whether she will continue to openly affiliate with the party, she added “I will because I’m NDC. He (John Mahama) is like my dad. I can’t say he is my friend that will be disrespectful but he is like my dad and I can talk to him anytime about anything.”
