Ghanaian midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso has successfully completed his move from the Spanish league to the Chinese league after joining Chinese club Jiangsu Suning.
His former club, Deportivo Alaves confirmed Mubarak’s exit on social media but have not disclosed details of the agreement reached with the Chinese Super League side.
The Black Stars icon on Sunday successfully went through his medical tests in China before completing the move which is expected to more than quadruple his wages.
“Deportivo Alavés wants to thank Wakaso Mubarak for his professionalism and dedication during this time and wishes him the best of luck in his new stage,” Alaves said in a statement.
Mubarak Wakaso made 66 La Liga appearances for Alaves, including 16 this season.
He previously featured for Spain’s Villarreal, Espanyol, Granada, Las Palmas, and Elche as well as Scottish giants Celtic, Greek side Panathinaikos and Rubin Kazan of Russia.
He has represented the Black Stars on 58 occasions, including his 20 matches at four Africa Cup of Nations finals, and two games at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
