Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu was quick to praise his squad’s depth following their impressive 3-0 win over Medeama in the MTN FA Cup semi-final on Sunday.
The win sees the Phobians progress to the finals of the MTN FA Cup and are on course to win the double, having clinched the Premier League title already.
Benjamin Afutu opened the scoring for Hearts in the 12th minute.
Isaac Mensah later added the second before Daniel Barnieh converted from the spot to seal the win.
“I do not depend on a few players. I build around all the players and so, if one player is not available, then the replacement will be better than the starter,” coach Boadu said in his post-match interview.
“The match, in itself, was a good one. In the first half, Medeama tried to confuse us with their game plan but we used our tactics to get all the three goals.”
Hearts of Oak will face 1993 champions Ashanti Gold in the final at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday, August 8, 2021.
