The Ministry of Health has announced that it has opened applications for the recruitment of qualified nurses to the Republic of Barbados, ABC News can report.
This recruitment comes at the back of an agreement reached between Ghana and Barbados following President Akufo-Addo’s state visit to Barbados in June this year. The government of Barbados, through the agreement, requested that Ghana expatriate some nurses to Barbados to consolidate the country’s healthcare system.
According a statement released by the Ministry of Health, nursing fields that are in critical need in Barbados are; Critical Care, Cardiac Catheterization, Emergency Room, Operating Theatre and Opthalmology. Most importantly, it indicated that interested nurses must be registered and must have 3 to 5 years of working experience.
To that end, the Ministry said it will received applications from interested professionals from Tuesday, November 5 to Thursday, November 7, 2019 for consideration.
The Ministry has therefore directed all interested applicants to visit https://hr.moh.gov.gh to tender their applications, adding that only shortlisted applicants who will be invited for interview.
