Flagbearer of the opposition NDC, John Dramani Mahama can currently be said to be in the good books of the aggrieved customers of the defunct Menzgold Ghana Limited.
This new affection for the former president comes after he promised to pay the locked funds of Menzgold customers following the NPP administration’s failure to pay them after the collapse of the gold dealership firm.
The former president in addressing the public during the outdooring event for his running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang promised that the next NDC government will within one year in power pay all customers whose investment have been locked up as a result of the financial sector cleanup undertaken by the NPP government.
Following this promise, the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold in a press release has expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the presidential candidate for such soothing words.
They therefore urged all their members to take the ongoing voter registration exercise seriously in order to partake in the general elections come December 7, 2020 to make this promise by Mr. Mahama materialize.
“President Mahama’s promise to pay Menzgold customers is, therefore, appropriate and Menzgold customers are grateful to him that once again we are encouraged and can end the needless deaths among our customers. Menzgold customers are advised to go and register so that they can vote to make this promise a reality,” portions of the release copied to ABC News read.
