Menzgold Ghana Limited has announced that it will commence payment of the locked up funds of their customers beginning December 20, 2021.
The company says its has embarked on rigorous auditing of their indebtedness and claims of customers they received within the 28th October, 2019 and 28th November, 2019 period.
According to a press release on Thursday, Menzgold Ghana Limited disclosed that about 80 percent of all Gold collectibles trading claims with their supporting documents they received have been completely audited.
However, the company further noted that “a great number of about forty five percent (45%) of claimants/transactions supporting documents are either incomplete, fraudulent, inconsistent comparative to dates, figures and amounts received as returns on the gold
collectibles trades with the agreed sum stipulated in the signed and sealed “Gold Sale and Purchase Agreements”, most unbelievably, trading Agreement dates that reflects periods when our Company was not in operations and so on.”
This discrepancies, Menzgold added they will send a petition to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service to investigate all interdicted persons including alleged conspirators, purported clients, Menzgold and Brew Marketing staff members.
Following this initial audit, the company stated that the payment will follow a final audit of documents from customers and will later proceed to fully publish their findings in both digital and print media.
“We strive to complete the final phase of our audit endeavours and shall proceed to fully publish the following in the print and digital new media; list of all paid traders/transactors paid so far and list of all final eligible traders/transactions as well as the total sum of indebtedness by Menzgold Ghana Co. Limited,” portions of the statement read.
According to management of Menzgold, the next line of action will be the payment of claims from deserving customers which will begin on December 20, 2021 and will run till June 30, 2022.
“Menzgold shall proceed to pay the final publicized list and total sum from the 20th of December, 2021 to 30th June, 2022 in our quest to give final closure to this very depressing matter and to restore our dear enviable Company’s integrity,” parts of the statement published on October 7, read.
