The mortal remains of a man, believed to be in his late 50s, has been found with gunshot wound and missing body parts at a construction site at the Gomoa Ojobi Estate in the Gomoa East District in the Central region.
Preliminary investigation by the Assemblyman of the area, Geoffrey Panin Nkum, indicates the man was allegedly shot in his jaw, with some body parts missing.
The Assemblyman suspects that the parts may have been removed for rituals.
Residents also say they suspect he was killed by land guards in the area, over a land dispute.
The Assemblyman said the body has been conveyed to Police Hospital morgue, while police are conducting investigations into the matter.
Meanwhile, the residents say they live in fear and want the Inspector-General of Police to deploy police personnel in Kasoa and its environment to protect them.
