Former President and flagbearer of the opposition NDC, John Dramani Mahama has called for unity, tolerance, respect and for human lives as Muslims celebrate Eid-Ul-Adha.
In a statement extending his goodwill and best wish message to the Muslim Community in Ghana, the former president admitted that the COVID-19 pandemic has been very devastating through taking precious lives and negatively impacting our way of lives .
However, he however assured Ghanaians, especially, the Muslim Community that the current struggles will soon end and the whole nation shall in the coming future welcome brighter days to end the current days of hardship.
To this end, he urged that the whole nation should remember the importance of unity, tolerance and respect for human lives and dignity as we pass through these turbulent times.
“I send best wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-Ul-Adha, the festival of sacrifice,” John Mahama expressed.
He added that “as we mark this day, may we remember the importance of unity, tolerance and respect for human lives. Happy celebrations, and may Allah continue to pour his blessings upon our land and prosper every Ghanaian.”
