President Akufo-Addo is hosting a breakfast prayer meeting with the clergy at the Jubilee House as part of his government’s efforts to broaden consultations in the fight against the virus.

Addressing the present clergymen shortly before the start of the prayers, President Akufo-Addo pledged his willingness to engage the religious body to seek the face of God to help save the country and heal persons who have contracted the disease as Ghana’s case rise to 9.

The President added that Ghanaians should count themselves lucky that we are currently one of the least hit countries around the world but urged the citizenry to adhere to the precautionary measures as the virus continues to spread around the world. The President added, “I am confident that this too shall pass.”

The Catholic Bishops Conference, the Muslim clergy, leaders of the Church of Pentecost, the Perez Chapel International, Lighthouse Chapel International and Royal House Chapel International among others are currently participating in the meeting.

The present clergymen also assured the President their collaboration in all given directives and will lead their members to raise prayers to the Most High to help save Ghana in the midst of the global pandemic.
