The New Patriotic Party is today acclaiming President Akufo-Addo as its flagbearer to lead the party in the upcoming December 7 elections.

Moreover, President Akufo-Addo during the acclamation will announce Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as his running mate to the National Council for consideration.

The event, being held at the Alisa Hotel, will have only 100 invited persons in consonant with the anti-COVID-19 measures.

The acclamation will be done by the voting member representatives made up of selected Members of Parliament, former running mate, past presidents and past national regional chairpersons.

Party supporters are being advised to stay home and monitor the proceedings on television and radio.
