A list of 46 sector and regional Minister-designate for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s second government has been put out by the presidency.
This comes after a statement signed by Acting Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin announced that a list of appointees had been submitted to Parliament for vetting and approval.
The statement also confirmed that the President’s second government will be run by 85 minister and deputies, which is a significant reduction from the 126 in his first term.
At least 10 ministries have either been scrapped, realigned or renamed to cut the number of Ministries and Ministers.
Meanwhile, several of the Ministers in the previous government have been maintained, while a few have been assigned different Ministries and others have been dropped.
Also significant on the list is eight of them are women – comprising of six sector ministers and two regional ministers.
