The Police at Obomeng, a suburb of Kwahu in the Eastern Region have arrested some Ghanaian lesbians who gathered to hold same-sex wedding ceremony over the weekend.

The wedding ceremony, according to information gathered by Starrfm.com.gh was held in a rented house at dawn.  But it was cut short when a team of police and traditional authorities stormed the place and arrested them.

The police were, however, forced to grant the alleged lesbians bail due to the unavailability of a female cell at the station.

Chief of Obomeng Nana Effah Opinamang III confirmed on Kasapa FM on Monday that they heard the rumours of the lesbian wedding and mobilized the security team to the location and arrest the participants.

He said 22 out of the 30 guests at the lesbian wedding were arrested while the remaining fled the scene.

This arrest comes a few weeks after an office rented by the LGBTQI group at Ashongman was closed down by the National Security following public outrage over activities of the group.

The group has opened the office as a safe place for its members and they had support from members of the diplomatic corps, particularly from the Australian and Danish Embassies, as well as the European Union office in Ghana.

The support of the diplomats infuriated some members of Parliament, religious and traditional leaders as well as anti-gay groups, who called for the diplomats to be sanctions for working against the sovereignty of Ghana.

In the midst of the outrage, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo came out and stated categorically that same sex marriage will never be legalized in Ghana under his watch as president.

Viral sodomy video

In a related development, there is a video gone viral, of several boys believed to be aged between eight and 17 years engaging in group sex.

In that ‘disgusting’ video, the younger boys were made to suck the manhood of the bigger boys, after which the bigger boys inserted their manhood into the anuses of the younger boys.

Apart from one younger boy, who was hesitant to suck on another young boy’s manhood, but later reluctantly sucked on a bigger boy manhood, the rest seemed very willingly involved in the whole act.

It was obvious that someone else was filming the act and the boys kept looking into the camera from time to time, indicating they were aware of the filming.

ABC News gathered that National Security has possession of the video and are investigating its original source to trace the perpetrators.
