Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos scored the only goal from the spot kick in a 1-0 win against Athletic Bilbao, which moves the club seven points clear at the top of La Liga.

Ramos beautifully converted the penalty on the 73rd minute after Dani Garcia fouled Marcelo in the penalty box, which was confirmed by the Video Assistant Referee as a penalty.

The goal is Ramos’ fifth in seven matches after the restart of league.

Real Madrid are now seven points above defending champions Barcelona who visits Villarreal in their next La Liga fixture.
