Fans of Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale on Saturday attacked hiplife artist Kwaw Kese at the album launch of the dancehall act, ABC News can report.
Kwaw Kese who appeared at Wonder Boy album launch at the Fantasy Dome in Accra to honour an invitation from the dancehall act was pelted with bottles when he mounted the stage to perform.
Kwaw Kese defied the attempt to heckle him by turning his back to the rather wild crowd, at least until scenes of flying bottles went dim.
He then went on to perform his popular hit track “Dondo” to which he was cheered on by the same crowd that had booed at him earlier.
The October 19 concert is the second edition of the Reign Concert by Shatta Wale. The first edition held last year, was used to launch Shatta Wale’s Reign Album which did very well on various charts across the globe.
This year’s concert was used to launch yet another promising album of Shatta Wale titled “Wonder Boy.” The eleven-track album has songs such as Halfcast, California, By All Means, and Melissa, which are already enjoying massive airplay.
Other artists who performed at the event include Criss Waddle, Medikal, Kuame Eugene, Fameye, Wendy Shay and Fantana.
Shatta Wale wrapped up the event by performing his unending list of hit songs, some of which had his highly committed SM fans sing along with him.
