Asante Kotoko head coach, Mariano Barreto has returned to Ghana following his trip to Portugal.
The short trip to his native country was necessary to aid the former Black Stars coach to renew his UEFA Pro coaching license as the end of the football season in Portugal provides a short window for coaching license renewals.
In his absence Assistant Coach Pedro Manuel to charge of the team.
On Thursday, the Porcupine Warriors announced on their twitter handle that Barreto had returned to the country ahead of their match day 27 game against Aduana Stars in Dormaa.

Barreto took over from Maxwell Konadu who was sacked in December 2020.
The Portuguese trainer has picked up five wins, three draws and one loss in nine Ghana Premier League matches so far this season.
Kotoko are currently joint top on the league table with arch-rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak on 46 points, with eight matches left to play.
