The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended its former Deputy General Secretary Samuel Koku Anyidoho for alleged misconduct.
According to a letter signed by the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the decision to suspend Koku Anyidoho follows complains against him by two NDC officials in a petition.
The two petitioners are Oti Regional Communications Officer of NDC, Mubarak Abdul-Karim and Bono Regional Deputy Communications Officer, Eric Adjei.
The two prayed the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the NDC to suspend Anyidoho for acting in breach of the disciplinary code in the NDC Constitution.
The statement said the FEC subsequently met on January 20, 2021 and arrived at a decision to suspend Koku Anyidoho and refer his case to the party’s disciplinary committee for further action.
“You are therefore by this letter to take note, and notice is hereby given, that your membership of the NDC is suspended pending the hearing and final determination of the petitions against your conduct,” the statement noted.
