Kenya’s military have been deployed to help put out a raging fire in its biggest National Park.
The military has resorted to using different methods to control the fire including using helicopters to pour water on the fire.
The fire outbreak in the Tsavo National Park, which is home to hundreds of animals, has already seen hundreds of volunteers step in to help.
The Kenya Wildlife Service believes the outbreak is deliberate and suspect arson, according to the BBC.
This latest fire has affected plans by Kenyan government to revamp the tourism industry after COVID-19 eroded its revenue generation significantly.
“Your efforts and sacrifices are appreciated beyond words,” the KWS said on Twitter, the BBC reports.
