There was a spectacle at the premises of an Accra Circuit Court when some junior pastors of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah prevented journalists from filming his arrival for a scheduled court case.

The Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International was arrested over the weekend and processed before the court today, Monday, September 13, 2021, on alleged claims of assault on police personnel.

Rev. Owusu Bempah, 3 others detained by police for assault on officers; set to appear before court today

The man of God together with three other suspects and two others said to be on the run, allegedly beat up the officers and created and circulated multiple videos containing threats.

But their appearance in court today turned dramatic when some of his church members who accompanied him tried to stop journalists from doing their work and entering the courtroom to cover the hearing.

The incident has left several news reporters infuriated at the development amidst questions of whether Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah is above the law to warrant such conduct from his supporters.
