The Supreme Court has postponed all cases scheduled to be heard this week over fears of COVID-19 .

This decision comes on the back of rumours that some judges of the Superior Courts have tested positive for the virus and are currently in isolation.

The Apex court disclosed that all 16 cases scheduled for the week which commenced Tuesday, July 1, 2020, have been adjourned.

The court was required to deal with nine cases between Tuesday and Thursday but as of now, all such cases remain adjourned.

The Judicial Service will from August 1 commence its Legal Vacation and resume in October 2020.
