Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku has opined that living in Ghana has better prospects than living in his home country Nigeria.
Hanks Anuku was speaking to BBC Igbo on why he abandoned his come country, Nigeria to move and settle in Ghana.
According to the actor, it is very easy for one to work and progress in life in Ghana than in Nigeria. He added that he finds Ghana very well organized than Nigeria.
To him, the stable electricity supply in Ghana is one of the reasons why he chose Ghana over Nigeria after living in England, United States of America and Italy for a period of time.
“What made me leave Nigeria was that, sometimes, one gets bored. I have lived in England, the US, in Italy. A lot has happened with me since the 90s,” Hanks Anuku explained.
He added that “I found Ghana more organised. I don’t have time to condemn anyone but the electricity in that country is stable there and I liked it. It was also easy to work there and progress. That’s the truth.”
The 61-year-old Anuku also admitted that although he made mistakes before his departure he was never involved in any shady business.
“I’ve travelled far and wide. I am content with what I have. I don’t do robberies, apart from the ones I act in the movies. It is not easy to live in Nigeria. Most of the time, I cast my burden on God,” he noted.
