The Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho says he is ready to serve the country in any non-political capacity should President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appoint him.

According to him, as long as the appointment is not a ministerial one, he will accept it.

The former Deputy General Secretary of the NDC mentioned he will accept the appointment to show his appreciation to President Akufo-Addo for building a befitting resting place for the late President Atta Mills.

“In the interest of Ghana, I will accept an appointment devoid of politics from the President. That is what I am already doing at the Atta Mills Institute, Civic Education and public policy advocacy,” he stressed.

He repeated that the he is not looking for ministerial position but just a space to function, adding that there must be some space for him to function for the state.

Koku Anyidoho reiterated the need for the country to model people around certain values and character through institutions like the Atta Mills Institute, Kufour Foundation and possibly one for President Rawlings.

“We should not leave everything to chance, otherwise, we will not go anywhere. Let’s identify talents and mold them because that is the only way we can build this country. We must deliberately nurture talents in a conscious way and that is what Atta Mills Institute seeks to do,” he stated.
