I don’t know if I’m the Charles Owusu mentioned in Sir John’s will – Fmr. aide “flees” from controversial Will

Charles Owusu, the former aide to the late Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Forestry Commission, Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, widely known as Sir John has indicated that he cannot tell if he is really the person mentioned in the will of his former boss.

After the Will and last Testament of late Sir John leaked on social media, it came to light that the former CEO of the Forestry Commission and a said Charles Owusu jointly owned a parcel of land in the Achimota Forest.

“I jointly own a piece of land at Achimota Forest with Charles Owusu. Upon my demise, my portion of the said land should be given to Ruth Korkor Odonkor,” portions of the said will read.

Reacting to the portions of the will which is purported to be him, Charles Owusu indicated that there are many Charles Owusus in the country hence he cannot tell if he is indeed the one mentioned in the document.

According to the former aide, it is premature to make such a disclosure in the public domain since the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has launched investigations into the saga.

He therefore called on the public to remain calm since the findings of the probe will put the whole matter to amicable rest.

“There are a lot of Charles Owusus in the country. I cannot tell whether I am the one in the will as a beneficiary. I do not want to rush and disclose contents of the will so let’s all wait for the outcome of the Land Ministry’s investigations. So I don’t want to talk about the will in public,” Charles Owusu explained.
