The Head of Health Desk at Joy News, Fred Smith, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The Joy News Editor took to his Twitter handle on Monday, June 29, 2020, to announce his health status to Ghanaians.

According to him, “At around midday today, it was confirmed to me that my second test came out positive. So positive I am.”

Five staff of Multimedia test positive for COVID-19

Some few weeks ago, the Multimedia Group publicly came out to disclose that five of its staff had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Among the five was Joy FM’s Gary Al-Smith who was subsequently admitted for further treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

However, the sports journalist was discharged from the hospital on June 24, 2020, after spending two weeks at the hospital.
