The Ghana Revenue Authority office located along the Ring Road, Accra, has been gutted by fire, ABC News can report.

Officers of the Ghana National Fire Service are at the scene trying to keep the situation under control and prevent the fire from spreading to the whole building.

The inferno is believed to have started at about 9 am Sunday though it is unclear what caused the fire.

The sum of properties lost is not known at the moment but it is believed to amount to millions of Cedis and extent of damage is yet to be assessed.

Here are some pictures of the incident obtained by ABC News
