Civil, public servants and workers under the Ghana Education Service should expect to be paid their salaries on January 22, 2020, ABC News can report.

This was revealed in a payment schedule issued and signed by the Acting Controller and Account-General, Kwesi Kwaning-Bosompem.

“Notice is hereby given that the year 2020 salaries and Wages of Civil Servants, the Ghana Education Service and all other Public Servants paid by the Controller and Account-General’s Department will be paid on the dates indicated below;” the press release dated 19th December 2019 stated.

From the payment timetable provided, workers should expect to be credited on 26th in February and March, 24th, 27th, 26th, 24th and 26 in April, May, June, July and August, respectively.

In September, payments will be done on 25th, 26th in October and 25th in November. However, December salaries and wages will be paid on 18th in 2020.

According to the Controller and Accountant General, “the various banks will start crediting the accounts of employees from the dates indicated above.”
