The Gomoa West District Assembly in the Central region has become the first Assembly in the country to confirm President Akufo-Addo’s nominee as DCE for the area.

Bismark Baisie Nkum was nominated by the President through the Local Government Ministry on Sunday, September 19, 2021.

This followed months of anticipation as Ghanaians waited with bated breath for the list of MMDCEs to be released.

At a special sitting of the Gomoa West Assembly attended by Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan as well as other leading members of the NPP, assembly members voted to confirm the nomination without drama as pertains in other areas.
