Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu in the Northern Region, Alhassan Bashir Fuseini also known as A.B.A Fuseini has told the ruling New Patriotic Party to prepare for the judgement of God for stealing money meant for the fight against Covid-19.

A.B.A Fuseini believes the NPP administration is not being honest with Ghanaians in accounting for how some monies have been spent, especially during the three-week lock down in parts of the country.

According to him, the estimated GH¢54 million cost for feeding the underprivileged during the lockdown is ‘fraudulent’ and ‘massaged’.

Speaking on Neat FM, the NDC MP said, “I believe the figure is massaged, it’s a fraudulent figure, these NPP people are stealing money and even stealing money for covid-19, don’t they fear God? This is very bad, money for Covid-19 – do they think God is not there?” he quizzed.

“If God gives you money to take care of the sick and you spend it you think God will not judge you? He will ask them even if it is in the after world. God will judge them one after the other,” he added.

Explaining his agitation, Mr. Fuseini said without the Finance Minister presenting a breakdown on what the state spent that money on, it is impossible for the Minority to accept the estimated figure.

He accused the government of reckless spending under the guise of Covid-19, saying that there is no proper accountability and breakdown of the figure they throw at the public, and that is fraudulent.

“Where did they take the food, who benefited, what are the numbers they fed, which kind of food did they share, we don’t have any of those details. We asked him to bring a breakdown but he produced nothing because he’s scared of accountability,” the MP stated.
