Ghana has as of today, Sunday, May 31, 2020, confirmed Eight Thousand and Seventy (8,070) cases of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Recoveries have shot up from 2,841 to 2,947 representing an increase of 106.
The figures were disclosed by President Akufo-Addo during his tenth televised address to the nation on measures taken by the government to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Among the confirmed cases, 13 persons are seriously ill while 3 are said to be in critical condition with one person on ventilator support.
“As of today, Sunday, we have conducted 218, 425, the number of positive tests stands at 8,070, 2,947 persons have recovered, 36 have sadly died. 13 persons are severely ill, with 3 very critical and 1 is on a ventilator,” the President said on Sunday, May 31, 2020.
