Tributes have been pouring in from celebrities and fans of Kumawood actor, Bernard Nyarko after news of his sudden death broke out last night, May 2.
The late Bishop Bernard Nyarko until his death, was celebrated on Twitter for his outstanding acting skills in the movie industry.
Excerpts of his acting in movies are used as memes on social media, so news of his passing came as a shock to everyone as no one ever heard of his sickness.
Fellow Kumawood actors who worked closely with him couldn’t hold back their tears after the news broke.
Yaw Dabo in a video on social media is seen crying uncontrollably as he reminisced fond memories of his friend and colleague. He wondered who he would talk to about life or share experiences with, while crying in the video.
Mercy Asiedu in another video was seen crying while people tried to console her.
Fellow actress, Nana Ama McBrown who also heard the news of his death while hosting her program on UTV couldn’t hold back her tears on set when she announced the death of her friend.

Fans on social media have since his death, been paying tributes to him recalling some of the fond memories they have of him in his movies.
Most of them wonder how the news of his death came right after they celebrated him on social media for his acting skills.
Bishop Bernard Nyarko was reported dead on Saturday, May 2. ABC News sources at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital reveal that he died while receiving treatment for colon cancer.

I’ve only ever worked with him once and that was on Side Chic Gang, before then I’d never met him. But he he commanded so much respect and brought A LOT of comic relief which came so naturally that he became hard to forget. In fact every time I’d see him I remember the first thing I ever heard him say “this coat too is not nice, what joooon coat is this”( it sounded better coming from him) Whenever one of us goes, it doesn’t matter if you knew or worked with them; there’s just a feeling like you’ve lost family regardless. RIP Benard Nyarko- you will live on through your work.
