Some Ghanaians on Twitter have shown their support for President Akufo-Addo for the upcoming December 2020 elections.

According some Twitter users, the President has performed massively well for his first term and deserves a second term for the continuation of his ‘good’ works which includes the introduction of the free senior high school policy, One District One factory, the introduction of the Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) among others.

The trend with the hashtag, #TrustAkufoAddo comes few hours after another hashtag, #AkufoAddoIsCorrupt flooded Twitter timelines with some Ghanaians insisting that the President is corrupt and deserves to be voted out of office.

TrustAkufoAddo has so far garnered over 11 thousand tweets with leading members of the New Patriotic Party such as Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Gabby Otchere-Darko and a few others all asking Ghanaians to vote for the President.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah in one of the tweets said, “#TrustAkufoAddo to invest in young people and prepare them for a future of opportunities. He did it from 2017 to 2020. He will do it again.”

Another twitter user said, “#TrustAkufoAddo for relegating Mahama’s dumsor to the past. His government has spent in excess of GHS 4.7billion in the energy sector, today, Ghanaians can attest to the reliable, affordable power they enjoy.”
