Singer and rapper, Kofi Kinaata is upbeat about the prospects of his hit song ‘Things Fall Apart’ at this year’s Ghana Music Awards stating that he is confident the song will easily sweep any Award category it is nominated.
He is confident of bagging 6 awards from the show, which is scheduled to take place in a few months.
Despite competing against other artistes whose songs have also dominated airplay in the past year, Kofi Kinaata boasted that among other awards, he will win the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year Award’.
In addition to this, he is also looking forward to collecting the Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year awards at the ceremony.
“Any category the song is nominated it has to win,” the multiple award-winning highlife artiste said in an interview on Joy FM Drive Time show.
“All things being equal, I should win about 6 awards with ‘Things Fall Apart’, he said and listed, ” Songwriter, Record of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year and Most Popular Song of the Year” as potential categories he will easily win if nominated.
He says he will be shocked if the song doesn’t win the categories it’s nominated just as he was surprised and to date hasn’t gotten over the failure of his song ‘Crusade’ to win Collaboration of the Year.
