Ghana may not be the paradise its citizens seek under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo but the country is completely better off with an Akufo-Addo presidency, than with a Mahama-led administration, former GIMPA rector and Board Chair of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Prof. Stephen Adei.
According to Prof Adei, John Dramani Mahama “does not have the full compliment of leadership competencies to lead Ghana be it on vision, strategic thinking, selecting and leading even a team B, curbing the menace of corruption and prosecuting a credible development agenda.”
He emphasized that there are members within the NDC with better qualities than Mr Mahama but stated that the current monetization of elections paved way for him(Mahama) to win the nod as the party’s flagbearer for the 2020 general election.
“Ghana will be the worse off if Mahama ever becomes president again”, he concluded.
Speaking about Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Prof Adei opined that she has not displayed exceptionalism in any of her duties. He added that categorizing women as unprivileged compared to men is wrong.
“Women have been as privileged and more privileged than men, we must be very careful to think that every woman has been disadvantaged compared to men” – he stated on Joy FM’s Super morning show Monday morning.
