The Ghana Football Association Normalisation Committee chairman, DR. Kofi Amoah has disclosed that aspirants for the position of the GFA president are likely to pay GH₵ 5,000 as filing fees for the contest, ABC News can report.
Dr. Kofi Amoah said this at the Ghana Football Association Extra-ordinary Congress held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on Thursday.
He said, “an aspirant is likely to pay a maximum of GHS5,000 before picking a nomination form.”
Some notable personalities who have hinted of their desire to take over the reigns of the ‘new’ GFA as president include Osie Kweku Palmer, George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah and Fred Pappoe.
The position has been vacant since the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Kwesi Nyantakyi resigned over issues of alleged corruption and ethical breaches.
