The Ghana Education Service (GES) has rescheduled the reopening of schools for SHS 3 students to May 5, 2021.

In a statement Tuesday, the GES said “Management of the Ghana Education Service has considered a proposal from CHASS and has therefore revised the academic calendar as follows;

1. Reopening for Form 3 students has been rescheduled for 5th May 2021
This applies to all Form 3 students (single track and double track schools)”.

The statement comes after the boarding students reported to school on Tuesday to start class on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

Some parents have taken to social media to criticize GES for waiting for the boarding students to arrive on campus before issuing a statement.
