The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the election petition filed by former President John Mahama seeking a declaration of the 2020 election results as null and void.

John Mahama has also wanted the court to stop President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo from holding himself as president-elect and also for the court to declare a rerun between him (Mahama) and President Akufo-Addo.

The petitioner called three witnesses to provide evidence to uphold he reliefs he was seeking. But the Supreme Court finally ruled that the petition has no merit because the witnesses did not provide any material evidence to support the reliefs being sought.

Below is the full judgement as read out by Chief Justice Kwesi Ennin-Yeboah
