UEFA has told Premier League clubs to reschedule the restart date for the Premier League.

The Premier League clubs will meet via video conference to discuss a date for the restart of the league since there is little hope of returning to the field after 30 April which was the earlier set restart date.

The Premier League could move the date back to May or opt to follow Spain and France, who have shut down their leagues till further notice.

European governing body UEFA has written a joint letter with the European Clubs’ Association and the European Leagues urging domestic bodies not to quit their competitions.

Leagues across Europe have been told that abandoning competitions early could result in them forfeiting Champions League and Europa League places.
