A sick student of the Dwamena Akenteng Senior High School in the Ashanti Region has reportedly died after he was allegedly denied an exeat to go home for treatment.

According to reports, the second-year male student died in his dormitory.

A family member of the deceased is accusing the senior housemaster of the school of deliberately refusing the student permission to seek medical attention when his health condition had visibly deteriorated.

The body of the deceased has reportedly been sent to the St. Patrick’s hospital for autopsy.

The school authorities are yet to comment on the matter.
