Four people have been severely injured after dozens of gunmen opened fire on mourners at Kasoa Odupong Ofaakor in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
According to the police, the incident happened on Saturday, March 7 in the evening around 7.
The injured have been taken to the hospital and receiving treatment.
The gunmen opened fire when the Asafo companies and Baamuhene of Odupong Ofaakor were performing their final rituals for the burial of the late Akyeamehene of the Palace, Nai Kojo Amoashie II, known in private life as Emmanuel Armah Abbey Larbi.
15 of the gunmen have been arrested and are in custody of the Kasoa Divisional police command.
