Chairman of the Audit Service Board, Dr. Edward Duah Agyemang has disclosed that the Auditor-General, Daniel Domelevo was informed about the new keys to his office when he paid a visit to the office yesterday, July 28.

According to him, Daniel Domelevo, upon reaching the office, was informed by the Acting Auditor-General, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu, that the locks to his (Domelevo’s) office were changed because they had to secure the place.

“He knows it, he was told where the keys were when he got there yesterday. He was expecting the Ag. A-G to go and collect the keys for him when he knew very well that the Ag A-G doesn’t keep keys. The keys were with his secretary or with the cashier,” he revealed.

Explaining what led to the change of the locks, Dr. Duah Agyemang indicated that the Ag. A-G prompted the board on the need to secure the A-G’s office because there were more than one key and he was not sure of those who had keys to the office.

He said the board approved to changing the locks and instructed that the keys be given to Mr. Domelevo’s secretary or the Acting A-G’s secretary, but they both refused to take the keys so they were given to the cashier to keep.

26 African Auditors-General petition Akufo-Addo to reverse Domelevo’s leave directive

Dr. Duah Agyemang said after Mr. Domelevo was told about his new keys, he decided to rather make a misleading video and run straight to the media for mischief.

“He went to see the Ag A-G and asked he wanted to get to his office and he said yes, the keys are with either secretaries or the cashier so you may go for it. He decided not to go for it and rushed to the FM stations,” Dr. Duah Agyemang said.

Describing Mr. Domelevo as a “baby” who always runs to the media for unnecessary attention, Dr Duah Agyemang said the members of the Audit Service Board are now fed up with him.

“What do you expect us to do? We’re fed up with this situation where everyday he will like to go to the FM stations to complain about unnecessary things. We’re all fed up. Domelevo can go to wherever he wants to go. What is this? Is this news? That I went to my office I couldn’t get my key then you rush to Citi FM, Joy FM why – are you a baby?” he lamented.
